The Fix Everything Oatmeal & Green Tea Mask {Only 2 Ingredients!}
Get your skin baby soft and pores clear with this quick, homemade recipe that has only two all-natural ingredients!
Hi! I have been testing this recipe for two months now and it is doing wonders for my skin. Who knew the kitchen had such potent skin ingredients in it?
I use this mixture every week and it has replaced every other tool in my kit including face scrubs, washes, and an exfoliating brush. On my quest to find a natural solution to reducing redness and clogged pores I stumbled upon many recipes calling for oatmeal, and many that used green tea, but no one was combining them. And thus a mask was born…
Oatmeal: this hearty breakfast food is a cure-all when it comes to your skin. It has built-in pore clearing properties, while also deeply moisturizing the gunk within your pores. Once the gunk is loosened by this process, the dried oats act as an exfoliant to wisk it all away. Oatmeal has also been known to help with acne and dry skin. Not to mention that it’s ultra cheap, available everywhere, and completely natural so it won’t irritate your skin.
Green Tea: I sought out green tea for its redness reducing qualities but it delivers so much more than that. Green tea is said to fight aging, has anti-inflammatory properties, and tones skin. And since the mixture goes on warm, the tea opens up and loosens your pores so the duo can go right to work.
I keep a container of the oatmeal powder in my pantry at all times. When I’m ready to make a mask, I just brew a cup of tea, steal two teaspoons for the mix, and then sip on the rest while my skin is being fixed up! It’s like a 50 cent spa day.

I hope it does beautiful things for your skin and makes you feel like a million all-natural bucks.

Get your skin baby soft and pores clear with this quick, homemade recipe with just two all-natural ingredients!
Ingredients
1 teaspoon finely ground Oatmeal Powder from Quick Cooking Oats
2 teaspoons hot Green Tea or plain hot water
Instructions
To make the oatmeal powder, grind quick cooking oats using a food processor or chopper.
Stir the hot tea into the oats in a small dish and let sit for a minute to thicken.
Apply to the face while the mixture is warm. Let sit for 15 minutes.
Rinse the mixture off using warm water and a towel. Very gently exfoliate problem areas with the washcloth at this time.
Splash your face with cool water or cool green tea to close your pores and apply moisturizer. Voila!
Notes
Your face may have some redness directly after removal of the mask because of the exfoliation process. This will reduce quickly and you will be left with sparkly skin.
I always keep a small container of oat powder in the pantry so that I can whip up a mask weekly.
